WE are delighted to report on the success of our new Family Enclosure at Home Park.

The response so far has been fantastic and we want more of the Green Army to enjoy this exciting new initiative.

Our Family Enclosure represents a huge saving for families who make the pilgrimage to the Theatre of Greens.

The Tandem Ticket - one adult and one child - can come and support Ollie and the boys for just £24. The Four-Up Ticket - two adults and two children - is £48.

Admission for Under 18's is just £6 and for Under 23's £15 - it would be great to see you all at Home Park on Saturday when the lads take on Sheffield Wednesday in the Coca-Cola Championship.

Chief executive Michael Dunford spoke to a recent edition of the match-day programme, 'The Pilgrim'. He said: "The idea of a Family Enclosure came from one of our fortnightly management meetings.

"Whilst we have probably got the most attractive concessionary programme in the Championship, we felt that we lacked a dedicated family area.

We have trialed it to a reasonable level of success this season in Block 1 of the Devonport end and we have now formed a working group at the club, mainly comprising female members of staff who have children of their own.

"We are looking to introduce a number of initiatives over the coming months and people will see that area develop into something more family-friendly. We want new people to visit Home Park and there is a tendency for families to attend football matches together so, when they visit Home Park, we want it to be warm and inviting.

"We consider Block 1 is by far the best area to have a dedicated Family Enclosure and we hope to include initiatives like face painting, different food options, and special areas for children to spend their pocket money as well as a poster area for children to display their Argyle paintings. Pilgrim Pete will also be in there welcoming the families as they arrive.

"It is a case of building bricks and, hopefully, by the start of next season, we will have established a thriving and pleasing family area. Although the football is important, youngsters are looking for something extra special and we want them to be entertained and have fun.

"There will eventually be a baby-changing area and a place to leave pushchairs and prams, and I am convinced we will soon have one of the best Family Enclosures in the Championship.

"The pricing details have been in operation since the start of the season. You can buy a Tandem Ticket - one adult and one child (under 18) - for £24 or a Four-up Ticket - two juveniles and two adults - for £48. That represents a significant saving for families.
