HALMOSI is a highly gifted midfielder with a fantastic left-foot and wonderful ability from set-piece situations.
Péter has joined the Pilgrims on a permanent deal worth £400,000 from Debreceni VSC after impressing on loan towards the end of last season, making him the club's most expensive signing.
Halmosi has been capped 12 times by Hungary and Argyle manager Ian Holloway said: ''He's a very experienced player, he scores goals, gets crosses in, can play left-wing or left-back."
Halmosi almost joined Everton at the beginning of last season but the two clubs were unable to agree a deal, and subsequently had a trial at Celtic.
Premiership sides Blackburn, Bolton and West Ham were also among clubs tracking his progress but he remained at Debreceni, who he played for against Manchester United in the European Cup.
