WE will have a new number 2 next season - Paul Connolly.

The Liverpool-born right-back will be wearing the number traditionally associated with his preferred position after several seasons as our number 22.

Elsewhere in the squad, which reports back for duty after the summer break this week, midfielders Lee Hodges, Luke Summerfield and Dan Gosling, and strikers Rory Fallon and Ashley Barnes will also be wearing new numbers.

Long-serving Lee's utility is reflected in another change of number - from 20 to 17; Luke, previously 29, will now wear 20; and Dan, who was 30, will be 22.

Rory, who was our number 33 after signing from Swansea last January, but will now be number 14, while Ashley will begin his first full season as a professional wearing 24.
