JOHN BLACKLEY
ANOTHER of Sturrock's long established coaching team, John Blackley returned to Argyle in November 2007.
Nicknamed 'Sloop' because of his initials JB, Blackley was a tough centre half and takes on the defensive responsibilities of coaching.
As a player, he made 279 appearances for Hibernian before spells with Newcastle, Preston and Hamilton Academical. He won seven caps for Scotland and played in the 1974 World Cup in West Germany.
Blackley began a management career with Hamilton in 1982 before taking charge of Hibs between 1984 and 1986. He finished his managerial career at Cowdenbeath and went to become assistant to Gordon Wallace at Dundee.
His working relationship with Luggy began at St Johnstone and has taken him to Dundee United, Argyle, Sheffield Wednesday, Swindon Town and now back to Home Park.
