GEOFF CRUDGINGTON
GEOFF Crudgington is the Goalkeeping coach here at Home Park and will be a household name amongst the Green Army.
Crudgie made nearly 300 appearances for Argyle in a long playing career that spanned over 18 years. Consistency personified, he played all but two games in his first five season. Ever present in the 1984 FA Cup run, Crudgington was also involved in the 1985-86 promotion winning campaign.
Before joining Argyle, Crudgie began his career at Aston Villa before moving to Crewe Alexandra, making 250 appearances for the Railwaymen.
He then moved to Swansea in 1978. However, he was dropped in 1979 and within weeks he was an Argyle player.
After hanging up his boots, he spent a brief spell as manager of Millbrook in the South-Western League before returning to Argyle as Football in the Community officer.
