On Sunday, April 27 Home Park will host a full-scale 90 minute game between two sets of supporters - the Greens and the Yellows.

Each side will be managed by an Argyle legend - former goalkeeper and first-team coach Geoff Crudgington, and ex-striker Sean McCarthy - who will not only coach each team from the dug-outs, but also decide the tactics and deliver the pre-match and half-time team-talks.

The match will be no friendly. The club will do everything it can to replicate the atmosphere of a genuine Coca-Cola Championship game.

Players will arrive for the match to find their kit laid out in the dressing-room; there will be an official team-sheet; the squads will emerge to the strains of the club's Semper Fidelis anthem; and there will be a real pre-match build-up with an announcer.

One concession to the rules - and players' fitness! - will be that the Crudgie and Macca will be allowed to make rolling substitutions throughout the game. This will also ensure that all players, including the five substitutes per side, will be guaranteed at least an hour's play.

The match will be refereed by a qualified referee under FA rules, including red and yellow cards and friends and relatives of the players will be admitted free of charge to support their team.

The match is being staged to raise money for the Pilgrims' Football in the Community Department, and will kick off at 11.00am.

It costs just £150.00 to book a place in one of the teams. The match fee also includes some unique mementos of the day, including pictures taken by official club photographer Dave Rowntree, a DVD of the match and a certificate of authenticity.

Interest in this unique opportunity to play at the Theatre of Greens is sure to be high and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so the club is urging fans not to delay.

Anyone interested in taking part should contact the community department on 01752 562561 ext 162 or e-mail argyle@pafc.co.uk
